Buying a domain name through Afternic is safe and easy! Once you have created your account, search for the domain you’d like to purchase. You can search for your domain using the convenient search box located on every page. You can also refine your search using the Advanced Search features.
Once you find the domain(s) you want, simply click “Buy Now” to purchase the domain. If the domain does not have a Buy Now price, Afternic allows you to submit an offer.
Note: If you are making an offer, please ensure it is higher than the minimum bid.
If your offer meets the seller’s reserve, the name will enter a “Closing Soon” auction. The auction will run for 7 days. At the end of the 7-day period, the highest bidder wins. Please note that if you are the highest bidder, the transaction is binding. If there is a higher offer made by another buyer during the auction, you will be notified by email. At that point, you can choose to increase your offer price or find a different name.
If the domain you want to buy does not come up in the search results, our Afternic Agents can contact the domain owner and act as the broker to negotiate on your behalf. Learn more about our Afternic Agent Service.
TIP: Unsure what a domain is worth? Order a domain appraisal.
The average time to transfer a domain is 5-10 business days. However, this process is highly dependent on both Buyer and Seller completing the required escrow actions.

No. Domain purchases through Afternic are legally binding. They cannot be canceled. Do not place a bid if you are not absolutely sure you want to own the domain.
No. The Minimum offer price point is the lowest amount a seller would begin negotiations. This pricing allows sellers to eliminate offers that they would never consider. If you can’t meet the minimum offer, browse Afternic as there are millions of other domains available for sale.
Sellers are not required to sell at the minimum offer amount. This amount is simply a price point to begin negotiations. The buyer may consider your offer, but is not obligated to accept it or respond. Buyer offers are binding for 7 days.
